Kitesurfing conditions do not depend on Tide on this spot. Crete / Rethymno, Greece is a Chop, Small waves and Medium waves spot. The launching/landing area is reported to be of Big size. Wide, sandy, no obstructions. Completely empty in the winter but packed in summer. Onshore wind brings in rollers. Water gets deeper than wading depth fairly quickly. There are currents in the area and the port police advises to be careful. The undertow from the waves make it hard to walk out under control.
